Day 2 of SHM Converge 2023 is upon us! We hope you’ve enjoyed reuniting with your hospitalist community in Austin. The countless smiles, handshakes, and fist bumps remind us how important it is to spend time together in person and learn from one another.
Today, after breakfast, don’t miss the Best of Research and Innovations in 2022 at 8:30 a.m. in Exhibit Hall 5. Oral presentations on the top advances in research and innovations are happening in the Academic/Research Track in Room 18CD. And don’t miss ePoster presentations from 9:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. in Converge Central, Exhibit Hall 1. While you’re in Converge Central, you can also connect with your colleagues in the Social Circle, Chapter Corner, Fellows Lounge, Wellness Lounge, and more.
The first break of the day is at 9:30 a.m. in the Engagement Arena. If you haven’t visited with our partners or played Exhibitor Bingo for your chance at exciting prizes, be sure to stop by. SHM staff is available at the SHM Pavilion (Booth 1028) to answer questions about SHM, your membership, and give you a chance to join our photo wall.
Another annual conference tradition, the Awards of Excellence, will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Exhibit Hall 5. Please join us in celebrating SHM Chapters and members who have made exceptional contributions to the society and to the field of hospital medicine. Immediately after is the Update in Hospital Medicine, an annual must-attend session, at 2:10 p.m. in Exhibit Hall 5.

Feel like you’re missing out on some sessions? Don’t worry. SHM Converge On Demand is available on-site at a reduced price. Rates increase after the conference, so stop by the Registration Desk or Tech Squad to add On Demand to your registration. View sessions you couldn’t attend and earn up to 89 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and up to 44.5 ABIM MOC points. The rate will increase to $499 for members and $649 for non-members after the conference, so visit the Registration Desk or the Tech Squad to add it to your registration while on site.
